Madhe Ghat

Madhe ghat lies to the south west of Pune bordering Raigad district and in the vicinity of Torna Fort, Rajgad, Raigad and backwaters of Bhatghar dam. It is about 850 meters above sea level and situated in dense forests behind Torna Fort. From this place, you can have a view of vast area such as Raigad fort, Lingana, Varandha ghat and Shivthar Ghal. This place is very cold and is a developing hill station.

Gunjavane Dam

Gunjavane dam, is one of the small dams located next to the village velhe khurd. As compared to size, the dam gets filled even in the single rains. It’s the source of water to the adjoining areas of the district such as Velhe and Bhor. The capacity of the dam to preserve water is 19.59 million cubic metres.

Torna Fort

Torna Fort, also known as Prachandagad, is a large fort located in Pune district, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is historically significant because it was the first fort captured by Shivaji in 1646, at the age of 16. The hill has an elevation of 1,403 metres (4,603 ft) above sea level, making it the highest hill-fort in the district.

Rajgad Fort

Rajgad (literal meaning Ruling Fort) is a hill fort situated in the Pune district of Maharashtra, India. Formerly known as Murumdev, the fort was the capital of the Maratha Empire under the rule of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for almost 26 years, after which the capital was moved to the Raigad Fort.The fort is a significant tourist destination and is most sought after especially during monsoon.

Baneshwar is a temple of Shiva located in the village of Nasarapur about 36 km southwest of Pune. It is a pleasant and calm place amidst a jungle. It was recently discovered and hence declared as a small bird sanctuary hosting a decent amount of rare birds with many Malabar grey hornbills seen.

Prati-balaji

Lord Venkateshwar, Prati Balaji- Replica of the Tirupati Balaji is at Ketkawle village near pune. It is around 45 km from Pune. To reach this temple, you have to take Pune-Satara highway, cross the Katraj tunnel then, shindewadi-Khed shivapur- Nasarapur phata- Kapurhole villages are on the way. Then take a left turn on Nasarapur phata to reach Balaji temple.
